SPA Weekly – Nov. 26, 2014

Greetings SPA Community,
We have much to be thankful for this year at St Peter Academy!
Our dedicated and talented faculty are committed to infusing their classrooms with rigorous, interactive and fun curricula that exceed state standards. They are devoting approximately 50 hours to Innovative Education Practices and Professional Development Topics led by our Education Consultants. Several are full day, in depth seminars conducted on Saturdays. They have established Professional Learning Community Cohorts and meet regularly to collaborate on instructional best practices. They are participating in mentoring opportunities made available through our Education Consultants and they are taking advantage of academic subject specific professional development seminars offered through our Title I grant.

Thank you Ms. Tia, Ms. Shannon, Mrs. Donovan, Ms. Sawyer, Ms. Carrozza, Ms. Hurley, Ms. Collins, Mrs. Roche, Mr. Smith, Ms. Chapin and Ms. Joyce for always giving your best to our students!
We are thankful for the gift of Mrs. Brown! She is the engine that keeps the school running smoothly and in order. Her love for the school and children is always present in her welcoming smile and caring nature.
Our staff are exceptional – We are thankful to Margaret Itri for expert building maintenance, Carol Moakley for joining our team to provide administrative assistance, and to our specialty teachers, Taryn Wallach and Michelle Callahan and classroom aides, Sarah O’Shea, Leanne McLaughlin and Nicole DeMaria for the important roles they perform in supporting our teachers and students.

We are thankful to our Education Consultants, Kathy Aldred and Kathleen Armstrong and the special bond we are building with them. They are ‘masters of their craft’ and give generously of their knowledge, experience and resources.
Our Families are Special! You help to create the nurturing and caring culture that is a hallmark feature here at St Peter Academy. You support us in so many ways – through your volunteer time at special events, class field trips, building spruce ups, serving on the governing board, leading the Home & School Association, coordinating classroom events, soliciting monetary and in kind donations to benefit the school, complementing the curriculum with enrichment opportunities and added resources……..For everything you do – We are Thankful!

We are thankful to our students – It’s an honor and privilege to contribute to their academic, social and emotional growth! Our alumni students make us proud every day as positive role models and purposeful members of society.
